Comprehensive financial planning experience

I signed up for comprehensive financial planning with Facetwealth a few months ago. The onboarding process was straightforward after my complimentary consultation. They assigned me a dedicated CFP, who was very responsive to my emails and scheduled calls. We worked through investment management and tax planning strategy. The financial wellness platform is easy to navigate, showing my progress and goals clearly. My only minor point is that sometimes scheduling a last-minute call was tough, but overall, the quality of advice was top-notch and delivery of plans was timely. Very good experience.

Consistent excellent service

This is my third year with Facetwealth, and they continue to be a reliable partner. This time I focused on 401k optimization and some debt management advice. Just like before, my advisor was proactive and provided clear, actionable steps. The consistency in their service quality is why I keep renewing. It's always been a smooth process, and I trust their advice.

Great retirement planning!

I just finished my first few sessions for retirement planning and it's been fantastic! My dedicated CFP is so knowledgeable. I finally feel confident about my future. Definitely coming back for more services and telling my sister about this!

Good for estate planning

I used Facetwealth for estate planning and it was mostly positive. The advisor was quite good at explaining the options and helping me understand the process. The initial setup took a bit longer than I expected, maybe 10 days to get fully started after signing up. But once we got going, the actual planning sessions were productive. The flat fee structure is clear, which I appreciated, no hidden costs. Value felt fair for what I received.

does facet wealth handle investment management or just give advice? like, will they actually trade stuff for me?

S Sam Hall 1 month ago
They do both! They manage investments and give advice. They're not just telling you what to do, they'll implement it.

Yeah, they definitely manage your investments as part of their service. It's not just advice; they'll help with portfolio rebalancing and all that good stuff too.

Hey, wondering if anyone knows how the referral bonus works for Facet Wealth? Like, do I get it right away or does it apply after a certain time?

B Brian Phillips 4 weeks ago
Yeah, I used a referral link. It usually applies to your annual fee, so you'll see a credit on that. Not immediately cash in hand or anything.

AFAIK, the person who referred you gets something too. It's usually a pretty straightforward credit on the annual membership fee, not like a cash payout or anything. I think it shows up pretty quickly once you sign up and everything is processed.

Thinking about Facet Wealth but also looking at Personal Capital. Anyone have experience with both and can tell me the main differences in service?

S Sam J. 5 days ago
Personal Capital is more about tracking everything and some basic advice, Facet gives you a dedicated person who really digs into your whole financial life. It's a much deeper dive.

Yeah, if you just want an overview and some robo-advisor stuff, Personal Capital is fine. Facet is like having a real person, a CFP, helping you with everything from taxes to college savings. It's way more hands-on than what you get with Personal Capital.

What's the minimum investment you need to have to work with Facet Wealth? I'm not a millionaire yet lol.

M Matt H. 3 weeks ago
I don't think there's a hard minimum, it's more about the flat fee. They work with people at different stages.

H Hannah Scott 3 weeks ago
They don't really have a minimum investment amount like some firms. Their model is a flat annual fee, so it's more about whether that fee makes sense for your financial situation, not how much you have invested from the start.

How often do you actually meet with your dedicated advisor? Is it like once a year or more frequent?

R Robert 1 month ago
It's pretty flexible. You can schedule as needed, but I usually have a few calls a year plus check-ins.

You get a dedicated CFP and you can meet with them as often as you need to. It's not limited to just annual check-ins. I probably connect with mine every quarter formally, and then little questions pop up between those times too.
